I arrived in New Zealand during the mid 80’s and after completing my studies in business I started working a white collar job. Soon after I started my job I realised I did not enjoy working 9 to 5, therefore I decided to leave and start my retail business which I had success in. In 1998 I started my career as a Real Estate Salesperson with Law Real Estate Papatoetoe, became an investor and also began to manage a few rental properties. Doing well in property investments lead me on a journey to start to serve the Indian community in many different ways. I was promoting local talent through musical shows, organising international music concerts and began helping international students arriving in New Zealand settle down. I was a Chief Editor of a local Indian newspaper and a member of various community social organisations to help people.
After pursuing work in real estate, investing and working with my community, I had still wanted to follow my dreams from my childhood to become a film producer.
In 2008 I took a course for Film Production at a New Zealand film academy and then the following year, a Film Direction course at South Seas Film and Television School in Glenfield. After completing my course in 2010 I moved to India and started my new career as a film producer in Bollywood.
I was doing really well while I was living in India, although due to family commitments and the future studies of my children I have decided to return to New Zealand. Now I am once again a Real Estate salesperson and I am looking forward to achieving my goals and being successful in this career. Through my profile I have created in Indian community in South Auckland from last 35 years.
