Studying law and a double BA major at Victoria University of Wellington, Kirsty was admitted to the bar in 2011 and shortly thereafter gained work experience at Stace Hammond Barristers and Solicitors for seven months before accepting a position as a Deputy Registrar in the Criminal Jury Trials Team at Auckland District Court. After 2 years as a civil servant, Kirsty determined her future lay in property investment and to that end, she began her property management career at Ray White Manukau in 2013 to further her personal knowledge of the industry.
Kirsty quickly learnt the ropes of the role and excelled, however after 18 months it was time to move back to the city. Employed at Ray White Ponsonby and Grey Lynn for 4 years, Kirsty managed a large portfolio as well as undertaking Operation Management tasks during this time including training new staff members, taking over management for private landlords with upcoming tenancy tribunal hearings, and ensuring the office adhered with all new legislative compliance requirements.
After a short fixed-term contract at Ray White Mission Bay helping set up the operations and marketing side of the Property Management business, as well as single handedly organising their landlord rent event, she is now back at Ray White Manukau where it all began, and has recently taken over the accounts role for the property management business.
With a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of property management, Kirsty has all the answers for new and seasoned landlords alike trying to navigate their way through the changing face of property management in NZ.
