With 56 properties up for auction as part of Ray White A T Realty’s Game Day event, the group recorded a 70 per cent clearance rate, with 39 properties sold and more likely to be under contract over the next 48 hours.
The offices in Manukau, Manurewa, Mangere and Mangere Bridge came together to see more than $34 million in property sold as part of the Game Day auction event.
“I’m incredibly proud of our team and the standard they continue to set,” Ray White A T Realty director Adam Thomson said.
“We actually booked 74 auctions for Game Day, so much so that we had to roll a number into the following weeks.
“Delivering 56 auctions over 10 hours, with seven sold prior, is a huge achievement. But it’s really the work done in the weeks leading up that drives those results.
“It takes a full team effort, from our salespeople through to our management and admin team who support them every step of the way.
“Most importantly, none of this happens without the trust of our vendors, and we’re grateful for the confidence they place in us to deliver outstanding outcomes.”
There were a total of 278 bidders in the room ready to purchase on Game Day who placed a total of 1,059 bids.
The top result went to Ray White Manukau agents James McGregor and Kris Khatri, who sold 824 Redoubt Road, Alfriston, under the hammer for $3.555 million.
The auction which saw the most competition was for Ray White Manukau’s Charlie and Liam Brothers’ auction at 22 McInnes Road, Weymouth, which saw 94 bids before selling under the hammer for $895,000.

“The energy today was noticeable from the first auction, and importantly, it didn’t end when the hammer fell,” Ray White Manukau sales manager Richie Lewis said.
“Some of the most productive conversations are happening in and around each auction, which makes the event much more meaningful for our clients and the team.”
After 43 years in the same family 113 Carruth Road, Papatoetoe, sold under the hammer on Game Day for $1.601 million, with 10 registered bidders, marketed by Ray White Manukau’s Jay Singh and Jay Le.
The home was built by the sellers’ (pictured below) family, and they had run a well-known automotive upholstery business from property.
“They had the family home at the front and ran the business out of the three bay garage out the back,” Mr Singh said.
“The father passed away a few years ago, and one of the sons has been living in the home to help look after his mother.
“They decided it’s time to sell and buy something smaller and more central.”

Ray White A T Realty director Tom Rawson said they were hoping to replicate The Day’s success at their new offices in Auckland Central and Wynyard Quarter.
“What we’re seeing in South Auckland is momentum building through these events – and next week will be a really interesting test of that,” Mr Rawson said.
“Our central offices are hosting their first ‘The Day’ next Thursday, and it’ll show us whether the same energy we’ve been seeing in the south translates into the central market.
“We’re 14 auction events in now, and each event has delivered for both buyers and sellers – so there’s a lot of anticipation heading into this next one.”
