Auctions win The Day with more than $19M in property sold

By Hannah Williams

Ray White Manukau, Manurewa, Mangere and Mangere Bridge auctioned 33 properties under the hammer yesterday at their auction event The Day, with a clearance rate of 69 per cent.

With Ray White New Zealand auctioneers Sam Steele and Ben East on the gavel, the auction event saw 21 properties sold under the hammer on the day, to a total of more than $19 million.

Ray White Manukau, Manurewa, Mangere and Mangere Bridge director Tom Rawson said they saw plenty of activity on the auction room floor.

“Having 265 registered bidders and a 69 per cent clearance rate proves that auctions deliver,” Mr Rawson said.

“The competition in the room was electric, and our sellers saw the results.”

The top result for the day went to Ray White Manukau agents Monika Maynard & Aryaan Batra who sold 110 Lakeside Drive, Orewa under the hammer for $1.3 million. With five registered bidders and three active bidders, the auction saw 12 bids over nine minutes before the gavel fell.

The auction with the highest number of bidders went to Ray White Manukau agents Karlen Athnaeil and Rubal Singh who recorded 33 registered bidders at their 60a Alfriston Road, Manurewa auction. The auction was action packed with 39 bids over four minutes before it eventually sold under the hammer for $621,000

The auction with the most bids, however, was at 29 Pallant Street, Manurewa which was marketed by Ray White Manukau agents Nelson Takle and Nikita Aery. The property received 77 bids during the six minute auction, before selling under the hammer for $781,000.

Ray White Manukau sales manager Richie Lewis congratulated their team on achieving such great results.

Our agents put in the work, and the results speak for themselves,” Mr Lewis said.

“Buyers are engaged, sellers are winning, and auctions are driving the market.”

Ray White Manukau, Manurewa, Mangere and Mangere Bridge CEO Adam Thomson said with over $19.3 million in sales and 652 bids placed, ‘The Day’ continued to set the benchmark.

There’s a reason we continue to choose auctions – they work,” Mr Thomson said.

“Our process ensures sellers get the best possible outcome, and buyers have the transparency to compete confidently. The results speak for themselves.”
